The Central Telecommunications Company OJSC, a major operator of wired communications in the Russian Federation, provides a wide range of communications and Internet services to private individuals, corporate clients and governments in the Central Federal District.

The company's history starts back in 1890. Currently CenterTelecom has 15 branches formed in the course of the company's reorganization that merged 17 leading regional operators on the basis of Moscow region communications operator.
Svyazinvest holding is the company's major shareholder.

CenterTelecom is successfully operating in all segments of the telecommunications market providing local and inter-zone telephony services, documentary communications, data communications, smart services, ISDN, dial-up and dedicated Internet access as well as CATV, wired and air broadcasting, and communication channels leasing.

Multiservice networks, development services and rates bundles differentiated for different categories of users, the development of interregional and transport communication networks are among the strategic directions in CenterTelecom development.

Since the confidence of investors and partners is very important for the company, CenterTelecom management constantly improves the corporate standards of information disclosure and works to increase the transparency of its operations. Presently the company reports to RAS and IAS (CenterTelecom's auditor is Ernst&Young).

CenterTelecom is a public company whose stock is traded by the Russian Trading System, Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange and is placed at exchanges world-wide through the ADR program. Investor confidence and the efficiency of the investment policy allow the company to raise domestic and foreign capital. The company has B+ (outlook: positive) and ruA+ long-term credit rating according to the Russian scale of credit rating (by Standard&Poor's). Fitch Ratings international rating agency assigned long-term issuer default rating in the foreign currency B ("positive" forecast), short-term rating in the foreign currency B as well as a national scale rating BBB(rus) ("positive" forecast) to the company.

The management attaches great importance to the improvement of the system of corporate governance. Being rated "7+" by Russian Institute of Directors (RID) and Expert RA rating agency consortium in 2007 was an important assessment of the changes made in this field.

The integrated interregional company currently employs over 56 thousand people. CenterTelecom HR policy aims at the development of a highly professional expert team, professional development, and harmonious development of the professional potential and improvement of the motivation system.

CenterTelecom is a socially responsible company. It carries out a wide range of social programs.
