Under the US-CAFTA-DR Agreement an importer must file certificate of origin to obtain the duty preference granted under this Agreement. The US exporter should provide the necessary information to qualify the product for tariff reduction or elimination.

Documentation needed to import products to El Salvador is as follows:

Commercial invoice, Bill of lading or Airway bill and a customs declaration must be filed by the import broker.
