Kyrgyzstan flag was for the first time officially used and hoisted on 3 rd March 1992. The national flag of Kyrgyzstan has a red background. On this red background there is a golden sun . This golden sun is shooting forty rays which are set as anticlockwise. The same rays , if seen from a reverted angle, becomes clockwise. These forty rays of the golden sun represents the forty tribes of Kyrgyzstan. There is further a red ring in the middle of the golden sun. This ring is crossed by three lines in two set to represent the traditional Kyrgyzstan roof.
