Prime-News Agency was founded on July 23, 1997. In several months the agency gained reputation of an independent, competent, reliable and operative news source.
Prime-News Agency was awarder a prize for the Best News Agency of the Year at Printing Press Festival in Tbilisi in 2001. The agency has also received different prizes from the governmental and other organizations.
The agency cooperates with the newspapers and TV and radio companies in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, the foreign agencies and the international organizations in Georgia and abroad.
