The flag of Swaziland was officially adopted on October 30, 1967. The flag of Swaziland consists of three horizontal stripes, blue stripe at the top, red in the middle, and again blue in the bottom. The red stripe of the flag of Swaziland is edged in yellow color. On the center of the red stripe, there is a horizontally placed large black and white shield covering two spears and a staff decorated with feather tassels. The blue color of the Swaziland flag stands for peace. The tassel is symbolic to the monarchy. Yellow color represents mineral wealth of the country; where as the red color symbolizes battle.
