TAME Linea Aerea Del Ecuador
TAME, EcuadorÌs Airline, was founded in 1962 in order to meet the demand for transport from big cities to the most remote population centers, where no purely commercial airline flew to. The goal motivating the creation of the company is linked to the need of integrating Ecuador and promoting business, social, tourist and cultural development.

Its business growth was gradual and sustained. It was expanding its domestic routes and changing the aircraft to DC-3, DC-6, Electra, Avro, Boeing 727100, Boeing 727200, Airbus A320, and more recently to Embraer 170 and 190, which currently cover fourteen destinations in Ecuador and one outside.

Since 1992, and in conformity with a border integration agreement, TAME flies from Tulc?n to Cali, Colombia, with three frequencies per week.

In this respect, recognition of the professionalism of the crew and the quality of technicians working at the company have been a decisive factor for the confidence given by the costumers and important airlines in the aviation world. It is necessary to highlight the work done by TAME in the field of aircraft maintenance, where the staff is highly qualified as in other specialties such as data processing, traffic, sales, trading, and finance.

The current administration has given priority to renew fleet with last generation aircraft and to reach alliances with other airlines in order to expand coverage at international level.

Around 3,000 passengers a day are transported in TAMEÌs aircraft within its national and international routes. The incorporation of modern ships with superior transport capacity will expand the number of passengers and consolidate the prestige of TAME in the world commercial aviation market.

Despite remain part of state enterprises, its operation is completely autonomous in administrative and financial fields, without receiving governmental contributions and growing only based on the income generated by its own activity. This has enabled TAME to get placed as a financially solid company, with a heritage shaped by its own fleet of aircraft, aviation infrastructure, offices and sales centers within the Ecuadorian territory
