TELUS Mobility began offering wireless service in 1986 in Alberta and BC, and launched digital PCS (Personal Communications Service) and CDPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data) wireless packet data services in 1996. In 2000, TELUS acquired Clearnet Communications and Qu»becTel Mobilit», transforming TELUS Mobility into a leading national service provider.

* Available from coast to coast in both postpaid and prepaid (Pay & Talk) versions, TELUS Mobility PCS offers clients unsurpassed digital coverage, great rates and cool phones, including models with colour screens, built-in digital cameras and Java software capability. TELUS Mobility PCS phone and data services can also be accessed throughout the United States.
* TELUS Mobility's Wireless High Speed network offers business clients wireless data transfers at typical speeds of 400 to 700 kilobits per second - at least six times faster than previous wireless data services. Also called EVDO, the Wireless High Speed network now operates in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto, allowing clients access to the Internet, corporate servers and e-mail systems at broadband speeds.
* The all-in-one Mike network integrates digital PCS phone, Mike's Direct Connect two-way radio, text messaging and data/Internet services in a single compact phone. Mike's Direct Connect radio allows business clients to stay in instant contact across Canada, saving them time and money. Mike is based on Motorola's multifunctional iDEN (integrated digital enhanced network) technology and is available in BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. Mike phone service is available across the United States thanks to a roaming partnership with Nextel. Mike phone, Direct Connect and data services are also available across the United States.
* Wireless Web services allow clients to access directly from their phones the latest in online directory, mapping, financial, gaming and wireless shopping services from our more than 100 online content partners. TELUS Mobility was first to introduce a "pay per use" model for Wireless Web access, allowing clients to pay for the services they want and use the most.
* TELUS Mobility Wi-Fi Hotspots are public Internet access zones allowing portable computer users to connect to the Internet and other networks wires at speeds as high as 11 Megabits per second. TELUS Mobility Hotspots are available in key public locations across Canada.
