AIR BALTIC CORPORATION (airBaltic) is a stock company that was established in 1995. Major shareholders include the Latvian state, with 52.6% of shares, and SAS AB, with 47.2% of shares.
In 2007, airBaltic carried over 2 million passengers.
Currently, airBaltic operates direct flights out of two Baltic State capitals Ò Riga, Latvia, and Vilnius, Lithuania, as well as out of Liepaja, Latvia.

From Vilnius airBaltic offers direct flights to Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Helsinki, Chisinau, London, Milan, Munich, Odessa, Oslo, Paris, Riga, Rome, Simferopol, Stockholm, Tallinn.
From Liepaja, Courland region in Latvia, airBaltic offers direct flights to Copenhagen, Hamburg and Riga.
airBaltic also operates direct flights between Kaliningrad and Copenhagen.
The airBaltic fleet currently consists of 23 aircraft - 2 Boeing 757-200, 10 Boeing 737-500s, 3 Boeing 737-300 and 8 Fokker-50s.
