Aero Contractors (Nigeria)
Aerocontractors is a key player in the Nigerian Aviation industry with an international repute for high safety standards, reliability and exceptional customer-friendly services.

We provide broad spectrum aviation services to a widespread clientele base in the public and private sectors and also the oil and gas sector.

Founded in 1959, Aero is Nigeria's oldest Oil & Gas Aviation company, operating in accordance with JAR Ops 4, 3, 145 & 147. Audited annually by major international Oil & Gas companies, ACN is the most respected airline in the country. The ACN fleet includes nine fixed-wing aircraft and 16 helicopters, and moves more than 300,000 passengers annually on different routes- domestic and regional.

Aero is a 40% participation of CHC-Schreiner. The other shareholder of AAero is the renowned Nigerian Ibru family. CHC-Schreiner is the managing partner. Currently AAero is involved in two main business activities:

1. Servicing the oil & gas industry in Nigeria (with 5 Fixed Wing aircraft and 16 Rotary Wing aircraft) and
2. Regional scheduled services (2 Fixed Wing aircraft).

All fixed wing operations are centralized at Lagos and the rotary wing activities are concentrated in the Port Harcourt area.

The strategy of CHC-Schreiner is strongly focused on operating Rotary Wing aircraft for the Oil & Gas (O&G) industry. The scheduled service operation is not the prime focus of CHC-Schreiner.

AeroContractors has been the dominant and most visibly recognizable name in aviation in Nigeria since 1959. Today, Aero offers a complete range of aviation services providing both fixed wing and helicopter services as well as an extensive technical maintenance and overhaul support.

Brand name and reputation Aero
Since the start of Aero Contractors in 1959, safety, quality and reliability have always been and stayed the most important watermark of the organization. Aero operates under European JAR regulations (JAR-OPS 1 and 3, and JAR 145) and this requires a dedicated commitment to ensure quality of the operations and the maintenance. Aero has build up an excellent reputation within the industry and independent market research confirms this view. Customers value Aero most for safety, reliability and service. All major oil & gas companies perform audits on the operation of Aero and those audits are passed to full satisfaction. Aero could easily capitalize on their good name, their safety record and their reputation as the best airline in Nigeria and West-Africa, a position they have maintained unchallenged for the last 20 years (references are available).
