The new flag of the new born Islamic Republic of Afghanistan consists of black, red and green stripes of equal length and in the middle is the National Emblem . This National Emblem is made up of Mehrab and Pulpit and is in white color, with two flags hang from each side. On its upper portion a sacred line is written that reads, ÏThere is no God but Allah and Mohammad is His prophet, and Allah is greatÓ. At the bottom of this insignia, it's written 'Afghanistan' and the solar year 1298. The National Emblem is circled by two sheaves of wheat.
