AIR ALGERIE has made in 2005, a 48.7 billion DA turnover , a 5 % progress compared to 2004 and a 8 billion DA net profit .The Company carries annually nearly 3 Millions passengers on its regular services.
AIR ALGERIEÌs fleet includes 33 aircraft among which 31 are operated for the passengerÌs services and 02 for the cargo services. Having a 5 years old medium age, the passengerÌs fleet is one of the youngest of the Air Transport sector.
AIR ALGERIE is in good shape. After having achieved the new maintenance base and modernized its fleet, AIR ALGERIE has started to modernize its management tools and information systems as well as putting up its activities to standard, allowing it thus to face the often present market challenges.
The company has at its disposal today, a certain number of main assets to improve its competitiveness in the market when faced with competition, ensure its profitability and preserve its financial health.

A reinforced registered capital increased from 2.5 billion DA in 2001 to 37 billion DA in 2006.The successive registered capital increases have been achieved by the incorporation of the company reserves.
An excess net treasury .The refunding of the loans deadlines has no treasury difficulty;
A ÏwiseÓ new financial policy, conducted at short, medium and long term, within the framework of the new company financial commitments;
The external debt anticipated refunding and its refinancing by national loans. This operation reduces the financial costs of the remaining loans balances to refund, and deletes in future the change risk in case of attrition of the Dinar/USD equivalence.
After this operation, AIR ALGERIE indebtedness is drawn up to 100% in dinars.
An entirely renewed fleet ( 26 new aircraft).The fleet medium age is 5 years old as of December 31 st 2006;
A latest technology Maintenance Base at Algiers airport, creating for AIR ALGERIE, a new profit center;
The continuation of the required certification process is already initiated: EASA PART 145, IOSA/IATA and ISO 9001 version 2000 and the implementation of a quality system allowing it to raise itself to international standards;
The EASA PART 145 Certification has already been obtained for the B 737-NG, A 330-200 and ATR 72-500 fleet and a certain number of workshops: Wheels workshop, Brake Workshop, ATEC and Batteries Workshop. Efforts are still going on for obtaining the activities certification: on line maintenance and Engines Workshop.
The IOSA audit (IATA operational safety audit) regrouping 1200 standards, has taken place in December 2006 in very good conditions. Where particularly concerned by this audit, the operational and technical services related to the aircraft operation .AIR ALGERIE is declared to have answered to the IOSA global standards and shall be registered by the IATA among the IOSA companies.
A quality Management system (SMQ) is implemented by the General Management, at AIR ALGERIE according to ISO 9001 version 2000 requirements and referential.
A comfortable position in the market;
AIR ALGERIE deploys currently its commercial strategy in order to reinforce its position on the market.
The Network expansion towards long haul services and the opening of new services. The Montreal-Algiers service shall be operational as from June 15 th2007. Approaches related to the setting up an air service with China have been initiated.
New services have been launched as from 2006 pick period: Constantine-Grenoble, Algiers-Nantes,S»tif-Lyon,S»tif-Paris,Chlef-Marseille.
The Company reorganization in group in order to better face the current challenges. The subsidiary process concerns the following activities: Maintenance, Catering, domestic services, international services, cargo, handling and Tour Operator.
4 subsidiaries have already been created: AIR ALGERIEÌS Techniques, AIR ALGERIE catering, AIR ALGERIE Domestics et AIR ALGERIE cargo.
