Alsumaria TV
An independent Iraqi Satellite TV Network that transmits on Nilesat and Arabsat from its temporary offices in Lebanon . Alsumaria was established by a group of professional businessmen in 2004. It includes a solid staff of 300 employees in Iraq and 150 in Lebanon . In a span of two years, Alsumaria has managed to become one of the most dynamic and watched TV stations in Iraq .
We strongly believe in a unified Iraq and continuously strive to be neutral and at the same distance with all Iraqis regardless of their political or religious backgrounds. Alsumaria TV wants to show the world that Iraq isn’t a country where everyday people suffer and die, but rather a place where people live, work, get married and struggle to lead long and normal existence.

We aim to reach all Iraqi directions, orientations, and genders in order to satisfy their demands and needs.
However, we also aim to cover the entire globe as we have concluded an agreement with Jump TV (www.jumptv.com) to the purpose of distributing Alsumaria signal via home computers, laptops, and internet enabled televisions. Around the clock programs will be broadcast to reach thousands of Iraqis and Arabs around the world.

Over 24 hours of weekly programs filmed in Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon . Our program line-up includes drama series conceived by Iraqi producers and directors and performed by Iraqi actors. Live quizzes hosted by an Iraqi youth team, in addition to social programs depicting daily obstacles that hinder the Iraqi people paths, and trying to find reasonable solutions. An interaction between Alsumaria and the Iraqi audience is build through live phone calls and live reports from the streets of Baghdad, Irbil, Basra and other Iraqi regions.

In a time when the only sound heard is the noise of bullets and ambulances sirens, Alsumaria found crucial to bring back music to Iraqi audience by producing “Iraq Star” a musical show that knew a huge success in 2005 and will continue for many next seasons.
