The Argentina Flag that came into being in 1812 comprises of three equally spaced horizontal bands with a yellow sun in the middle. The Flag of Argentina has been divided into three bands. The top and bottom are of special shade of blue called the ÏCelestial BlueÓ and the central band is of white color holding the sun emblem known as the ÏSun of MayÓ. The proportions of the Argentina Flag have been officially fixed at 9:14 since 1978 and its official size is 0.9 meters by 1.4 meters. The unofficial Argentina Flag does not have the sun emblem. The official flag of Argentina with the sun emblem can also be used by the common citizens provided the flag is displayed with honor and respect.
