Company formation

Atlas-blue, a fully-owned subsidiary of Royal Air Maroc (RAM), was incorporated on 28 May 2004.
It has international regular schedule service between the Moroccan cities of Marrakech and Agadir to different European countries. In a first phase this service includes the French, Italian, Belgian, Dutch, German and British markets. We seek to broaden our scope in the coming five years to include other European countries.
The flights are open to foreign tourists as well as to Moroccan expatriate nationals and local residents.

Our core values

Atlas-blue seeks to offer lower priced and competitive fares, thereby fostering the development of open skies in Morocco as well as increasing the frequency of flights from and to Morocco. Atlas Blue offers point to point services with a level of competitiveness compliant with international best practices and pursuant to stringent safety standards, in force in the sector of air transportation.

Distribution

The passenger will be offered a wide seat selection to choose from, at attractive fares. The distribution system favored by Atlas-blue is the direct sale model. The offer is geared to the purchase of tickets online, via a call center adapted to each geographic area, as well as through a dedicated travel agency partners.

Our fleet

Atlas-blue has a young fleet made up of 6 B 737-400 model Boeing aircrafts each with a seating capacity of 168 seats.
The development policy of Atlas-blue is far-reaching. This policy will culminate in the acquisition of two aircraft per year. Therefore the fleet of aircraft will ultimately comprise of 14 airplanes in 2008-2009 before reaching a fleet of 24 aircrafts by 2012.

Pilots and aircrews

Atlas-blue boasts a flight personnel of first rate quality. Atlas Blue pilots were selected meticulously and benefited from a multi-skill training.

The experience and the numbers of pilot hours flown were decisive factors in the selection process.

The aircrew members were selected based on a set of specific criteria including neatness, good public relation capabilities, speaking several languages, but also based on the piloting proficiency with other commercial airlines.


Maintenance

Atlas-blue is building on the know-how, top of mind and quality of Royal Air Maroc. Atlas-blue sub contracts all operations related activities by capitalizing on the know how and the acclaimed experience of Royal Air Maroc (Maintenance, Handling and Technical Training).

The Civil Aeration Department performs regular inspections at all the levels of operation of our aircraft fleet.
