Aus-Air
40 years of achievement in aviation
Aus-Air was established in 1956 at Melbourne's Moorabbin Airport, which is the company's head office. Aus-Air is a fully independent airline and a privately owned company.

Aus-Air employs 50 people and operates a fleet of 18-seater Embraer Bandeirante turbo-prop aircraft and twin engine Piper Super Chieftains. Aus-Air's airline reservation system is fully computerised and is hosted by Qantas which distributes its flights to travel agents throughout the world.

Air safety regulations maintain a clear distinction between standards of operational quality required for airline classification and for charter classification. These relate to all aspects of aircraft maintenance, air crew competency and official surveillance as well as company financial structure and insurances.

Since its inception in 1956, Aus-Air has established an enviable record for safety. And today all our operations meet the strictest airline standards. Aus-Air's great strength is its flexibility and wealth of experience gained through operating charter and regional airline services safely over 40 years.

Aus-Air has established a strong regional airline network, linking rural communities and provincial centres in Tasmania, Victoria and southern NSW with Melbourne.
Associated with this network Aus-Air has developed economical and attractive holiday packages combining the best of accommodation at all its ports with car rental and tours.

These holiday packages are available from travel agents throughout Australia.

The airline fulfils the requirements of a licensed travel agent which includes travellers indemnity and compensation fund deposits.
