Bangkok Recorder was first published in the year 1844 by Dr. Dan Beach Bradley as what became Thailand's first Thai language newspaper. It was published in English as well. The Bangkokrecorder webzine was created in 2003 by a group of expats and Thais who got sick of the lack of a reliable online source for nightlife and other Bangkok information, especially in English. Since then we have operated out of fun and passion, not for profit, which makes us different from most other sites out there. With our new design, which is the 3rd main overhaul since our inception, which was launched in November 2008, we hope to offer a new, innovative and fresh way to inform yourself about what is going on in Bangkok.
