Bàrse Berlin is pleased to announce the launch of Equiduct VBBO

Available from 4 April 2008, Equiduct VBBO will be a real-time data feed that allows you to compare pan-European price equity data using a single source.

Not only is Equiduct VBBO a commercially viable alternative to multiple Ò and potentially expensive Ò sources of data, it also aids transparency and guarantees (when used in conjunction with our PartnerEx market model) that institutions actually achieve the theoretical best price when trading, both of which are now vital considerations for your business since the introduction of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) in November 2007.

Bàrse Berlin - Equiduct Trading places emphasis on MiFID and pan-European trading

Bàrse Berlin's new market model, Equiduct Trading will provide, from mid-2008, a pan-European regulated market offering cross-border trading services and market data. Enabling investment firms to quickly and cost-effectively meet the requirement under MiFID to provide best execution and transparency to their clients.

The new trading platform (ETS) will represent an attractive and cost-effective alternative to systematic internalisation, joining or creating a multilateral trading facility (MTF), trading on other European venues or developing MiFID compliant IT systems.

The main differentiators of the Equiduct Trading offering, when compared to existing exchanges and MTFs, are a unique market model (including a VBBO consolidated European tape), the ability to use multiple clearing and settlement venues, and a high degree of client service levels, enabling a B2B approach.
