Blue Bird Aviation
Founded in 1989, Blue Bird Aviation is one of Sudan's best established general aviation service companies. The company was founded by two Licenced Aircraft Engineers, Mr Fathalla Kronfli and Mr Fayez Zaki, who own and form the Board of Directors.

From humble beginnings in the early 90s, Blue Bird Aviation was gaining the respect of aviation professionals in the Sudan for its excellent level of service with respect to light aircraft maintenance. From success to another, Blue Bird Aviation was setting new standards of service within the aviation industry.

With the influx of foreign registered light aircraft into the Sudan for humanitarian aid operations; Blue Bird, now a complete maintenance operation, had become the leading provider of scheduled and line maintenance for those aircraft within the Sudan. Since, the majority of those aircraft had South African registration; Blue Bird had been awarded a South African AMO (Aircraft Maintenance Organisation) license after being inspected by the South African CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), becoming the only company in Sudan with a license to maintain foreign registered aircraft by the mid 90s.

The dawn of the new millennium saw Blue Bird Aviation expand both horizontally and vertically in terms of its services. As the maintenance operation continued to grow, Blue Bird Aviation added ground handling services to provide a more comprehensive solution to its clients.

During the days when Sudan entered the oil production era and the signing of the Sudanese Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), Blue Bird was there to witness the expansion of the aviation industry. In a developing country where the infrastructure is not that good, light aircraft transport provides the best means of transport to cover the vast areas of land in Sudan. As such, Blue Bird took a corporate decision to start its own flight operations service to provide aircraft chartering. The company now operates and impeccable fleet of De Havilland Twin Otter DHC-6 and Beechcraft King Air 200 aircraft.

Blue Bird Aviation's mission is to create aviation history in Sudan by providing an outstanding service to its clientele just as the Concorde (used in Blue BirdÃŒs logo) once did for the elite air travelers.
