We're counting the days until our next journey to Douala, Cameroon on West Central Africa's Atlantic Coast for the ATA International Congress in May 2004. It's an opportunity to see even more of the fascinating country via Cameroon Airlines. We flew with the nation's friendly airline in 2000, when we spent an exciting month learning about the country and gathering stories for the 2004 Congress edition of Africa Travel Magazine. En route, we flew with Cameroon Airlines from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport to Yaounde, Cameroon's Capital. After the ATA Ecotourism and Investment Symposium, we enjoyed a fabulous "fam trip" from Yaounde to the northern province near Wasa National Park - an experience that brings wonderful memories. What an impressive introduction to the diverse culture of this rapidly emerging country. Our tour of Cameroon was arranged through the offices of Tourism Minister Hon. Pierre Hel» and his team. The program was so extensive, it will require continuing installments . Our travels in Cameroon will eventually be compiled in a book that will help future travelers enjoy this fascinating country to the fullest. More chapters will be added when Muguette Goufrani, photographer Robert Eilets and I hope to return to Cameroon and continue where we left off. It's truly Africa in One Country!

Editor's Comment: ÏWe thank tour supervisors Ebenezer Elimbi, Jean Npombo and Boniface Piga. They were great companions throughout my 30 days in the country. It was a month we will treasure forever, and even as time passes, the images and voices of Cameroon have not faded one iota - they've become even more vivid in the theater of my mind. What I truly love about the many Cameroonians whom I've come to know - is that to a person, they "Accentuate the Positive."
