Comoros Flag flagsoftheworld
The currently used Comoros Flag was adopted in the year 2003. The design of the previous flag has been remodeled. The new design of Comoros Flag retains the crescent of the previous but replaces it with a green triangle. The crescent, stars and the green color are the traditional symbols of Islam. In the new flag, four stripes have been added which symbolize the four islands of the nation: yellow is for Moh»li, white for Mayotte, red symbolizes Anjouan and the color blue represents Grand Comore. The four stars also represent the islands. The crescent moon embodies Islam, which is the main religion of the Comoros Island.
