DAT Danish Air Transport
DAT is a Danish airline offering everything from regular scheduled flights to charter flights and transport services. Rather atypically, our business platform is not founded on the desire to become a major airline with an impressive fleet of aircraft. We are involved in the business because we like it and when we choose types of aircraft for our fleet we do so not only on the basis of need and financial considerations, but rather on the basis of our knowledge of the aircraftÌs comfort, safety and comparative strengths. This is one of the reasons we are able to provide such a high level of operational reliability, or put another way: we fly on time and keep our promises.
DAT - nearly 20 yearsÌ experience
DAT was founded in 1989 by Jesper and Kirsten Rungholm. In those days we only had a single aircraft of the type Short Skyvan SC-7, which can best be described as a removal box with wings and two engines. Back then we flew everything from mail, parcels and racehorses to supplies for the annual Paris-Dakar Rally. In 2007 Lars HØeg purchased a part of DAT Ò Lars has since 2003 been Managing Director.
Now that the fleet includes 2 ATR 72-201/202, 9 ATR 42-300/320 and 2 Saab 340A aircraft, we are able to take on even more jobs.
We fly passengers on scheduled routes and charter flights as well as operating a comprehensive freight cargo service.
One of our most recent service offerings involves ambulance flights throughout Europe.
Our logo and colours both represent and illustrate the diversity of the company. Blue, yellow, red and green. These colours cause our fleet and logo to stand out. We are proud of being different and we are like our aircraft Ò colourful and not least flexible.
This is the reason behind our obvious current success.

At DAT, safety is at the very heart of what we do. When we take our seats in the flight cabin, we put ourselves completely in the hands of the pilot. To ensure the highest levels of safety for passengers and crew we give flight safety the highest priority.
Our aircraft are among the safest and most comfortable in the world. Our entire fleet is subject to regular critical safety inspection and is constantly maintained in the best possible condition.
