The Equatorial Guinea Flag was officially adopted on 12 th October, 1968. The Equatorial Guinea Flag comprises of three equal bands that are arranged horizontally to each other. The three bands of the Equatorial Guinea Flag are green, white and red in color, respectively from the top downwards. The Equatorial Guinea Flag also bears a blue isosceles triangle at the hoist-side of the flag and the coat of arms at the center of the white band. The coat of arms on the Equatorial Guinea Flag has six yellows stars each of has six points. Below the shield there is the national motto �Unity, Peace, Justice'.
