Hellus Jet
Corporate Info Hellas Jet (HJ) has been incorporated in Athens, Greece on July 1st 2002 as "Societe Anonyme".

Shareholders were Cyprus Airways Ltd (The National Carrier of Cyprus) holding 75% and AEF European Capital Investments BV holding 25% of the shares.
Hellas Jet granted on June 2003 the AIR OPERATOR CERTIFICATE (AOC) No HR-008 under the JAR-OPS1 and the relevant COMMERCIAL LICENCE.
Hellas Jet came to an operating lease agreement with CIT for the leasing of three (3) A320-200 aircraft.
Also on December 7th 2004, HJ became a holder at the Part-145 Approval Certificate No EL.145.039 for A320-200 type.
The carrier based in Athens International Airport (AIA) starterd on June 24th 2003 schedule flights to/from Brussels Ò London Ò Zurich and Paris.

On April 2005 Air Miles came to a major stake (51%) purchase agreement with Cyprus Airways, the Cyprus National Carrier, for the acquisition of Hellas Jet, their subsidiary in Greece.

On May 9th 2005, HJ decided to cease the schedule operation which was not profitable and diversify into charter operation both in full charter and ACMI leasing.
A major restructuring effort was materialized by reducing drastically the operating cost.
Two (2) of the three A-320 ACMI leased to a European scheduled carrier for one year May 2005-2006 and the third one took over the business of charter services from European Countries to Greece and ad-hoc charters.

Our primary objectives are, the safety aspect, by enforcing the Quality assurance programme to be an IATA Operational Safety Programme approved carrier and our profitable participation in the charter business by providing a good product based on flexible solutions at an efficient price for both our customers and our company.
