Documentation and Pre-Shipment Inspection


Goods valued at US $2,000 or more require a pre-shipment inspection. Contact: Bureau Veritas (305) 593-7878; fax (305) 463-7416. In addition, four copies of the customs invoice and declaration of value are required (available through the Sierra Leone government); four copies of the commercial invoice on the shipperÌs letterhead, and a copy of the bill of lading are required. Packing lists, while not required, are recommended and should be filled out in triplicate.
