Icejet
Icejet was founded in 2005. We are a JAR-OPS (Joint Aviation Requirement) operator with headquarters in Reykjavik, Iceland. Our fleet consists of Dornier 328 Luxury Jets, either in 14-seat luxury or 19-seat executive configuration.

Safety is the most important factor for Icejet. From pilot qualifications and training to maintenance and operations, we use the straight frame of JAR-OPS as a reference for all aspects of our operation.

Icejet aircraft are equipped with the latest avionics, including a Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS II) and an Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS). All Icejet pilots receive extensive advanced flight training, both in Iceland and abroad. They are rigorously tested every six months in flight simulator facilities. The flight dispatch office, located in the heart of ReykjavÃk, is responsible for flight planning and maintaining a constant flight watch over all of the company's flights. Aircraft are maintained by HangarOne, our maintenance facility at ReykjavÃk Airport, in full accordance with the procedures prescribed by the manufacturers and authorised by the Icelandic CAA. The maintenance facility has been approved in accordance with EASA Part-145 rules for maintenance organisations.

The Dornier 328 Jet is a medium-range, twin-engine executive jetliner. Its superb short runway performance and accessibility to central airports makes it a very popular choice for business and leisure travel. Icejet is the only Dornier 328JET operator in the world that is permitted to fly into London City Airport. London is one of the worldÌs most important financial centres, and we can provide the quickest access to the city - an important benefit for busy executives. The Dornier 328JET is the largest VIP-style executive aircraft using London City Airport.

The 328 Jet easily satisfies the requirements of our passengers, who travel at time saving jet speeds in a comfortable cabin with full standing height of 1.89 m. The cross section provides the widest aisle in its class. Passenger comfort is enhanced with low noise levels, a well-fitted galley, toilet facilities and direct access to the aft cargo compartment on the ground.

The 328 Jet was designed for easy ground handling and efficient servicing. A 20-minute ground turnaround is normal. Passengers alight through the integral forward door, while fuel, catering, baggage and sanitary services are performed aft of the wing. The roomy cargo compartment (6.4 m3) has a large door (1.40 x 0.92 m) on the left side of the fuselage with a 1.20 m sill height, which is low enough to allow loading without a conveyor belt. Luggage capacity is 750 kg. The galley service door, single-point refuelling location and lavatory service receptacle are all located on the other side of the fuselage.

Each aircraft is powered by a pair of PW 306B engines, flat-rated at 6,050 lbs of thrust. The service ceiling is 35,000 ft. Time to climb to 31,000 ft is less than 16 minutes. Environmentally, the 328JET is extremely quiet during operation, and the engines are relatively clean-burning and fuel-efficient (750-800 kg at FL350 and a cruising speed of Mach 0.64). The performance of this high wing aircraft is based on strengths such as impressive low speed handling with excellent short field performance, rapid time to climb and superior hot-and-high operation characteristics. The maximum range without an extra fuel tank is 1.400 nm. With an extra fuel tank installed, the range is 2000 NM.
