Lufthansa CityLine, as a wholly-owned Group company of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, is one of five strong partners in the Lufthansa Regional concept. Currently, more than 7.3 million passengers fly with Lufthansa CityLine every year. This makes the airline the leader in European regional air transport.

With its fleet of 72 modern and environmentally compatible medium- and short-range jets, CityLine serves all important airports across Europe with a total of up to 500 daily flights.

Even on less heavily traveled routes, Lufthansa Regional gets you to your destination quickly and comfortably. The Lufthansa Regional partners offer you all the advantages of a strong network. In addition to nonstop services between regional airports, the five partners offer you smooth connections Ò via the hubs in Frankfurt and Munich Ò to the worldÌs largest airline network, that of the Star Alliance.

Our personnel structure*
Lufthansa CityLine counts 2,522 employees, of whom 736 work in the cockpit, 893 in the cabin and 893 on the ground in the technical and administrative areas. (* as of December 31, 2007)

Subsidiary companies
In the context of two international joint-ventures, Lufthansa CityLine cooperates with the Canadian (Bombardier, CAE) and British (British Aerospace) manufacturers of its aircraft and simulators. Together, they operate the flight simulators for the Bombardier CRJ (50, 70 and 84 seats) and Avro RJ85s (93 seats).

Lufthansa CityLine GmbH: 50 percent, Bombardier Inc.: 35 percent, CAE Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH: 15 percent.

CityLine Avro Simulator and Training GmbH Berlin (CAST):
Lufthansa CityLine GmbH: 50 percent,
British Aerospace Deutschland GmbH: 50 percent.

Since 1992, our pilots have received their training at the simulator center of CST Berlin (CityLine Simulator und Training GmbH Berlin) for flight duty on these types of aircraft.
