The Netherlands Flag was officially adopted on 19 th February, 1937. The national flag of Netherlands is a tricolor consisting of three equal bands of red, white and blue respectively from top to bottom.The three bands in the Netherlands Flag are horizontally arranged to each other. The ratio between the height and width of the Netherlands Flag is 2:3. The tricolor national flag of Netherlands also serves as the flag of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Netherlands Flag has undergone changes in color over the past years. At one time the three bands in the flag were of orange, white and blue color. The present tricolor has been in use since 1937.
