About OMSKAVIA
Omskavia Airlines (OMS, Aviakompaniya Omskavia) was founded at 1994, February 1. Omskavia was formed as a result of the separation of Omsk State Air Enterprise into airline and airport enterprise. The airlane began regular services with only 2 Tupolev Tu-154B and small number of old Antonov An-2. The first Tupolev Tu-154M (RA-85730) was received in April of 1994 from Ivanovo. Soon the fleet of B-versions was replaced with modern M-versions of Tu-154. The own maintenance base was established.

From the beginning Omskavia provided scheduled passenger flights between Omsk and Moscow (Domodedovo) and international routes to Germany. Omskavia grew considerably instead of collapse of Russian civil aviation in mid-1990s. Carrier explored the Iranian market. Finally in 1996 the airline began to work with Iran Air Tours and Mahan Air. Omskavia increased its funds and formed a strong fleet. In the end of 2001 airline used 10 Tupolev Tu-154M and 1 Antonov An-24RV. All of the Tu-154M were upgraded according to the modern European standards. TCAS, GPS and other special equipment was installed.

In the summer of 2003 Omskavia had signed a letter of intent with Kazan production plant (KAPO) to acquire 4 Tupolev Tu-214, but the new planes prices were high for the airline funds. The airlineÌs commercial and strategic division had to analyse all the possible variants including leased Boeing-757.

After the resurrection of Russian market the airline pays attention to destinations within Russian Federation and charters from Omsk and Moscow. Omskavia started big charter programm with some tour operators from Moscow in July of 2004. There were plans to reduce the number of planes in Iran (by the December of 2004 the number of Omskavia Tu-154M in Iran was 2).
In 2005 cooperation with Iranian carrier Mahan Air was revisioned - plans were corrected and in the next year 4 of Omskavia Tu-154M will fly in Mahan Air colours.

In the end of 2004 Omskavia joined AirBridge alliance team (with KrasAir, Sibaviatrans, Samara, Domodedovo Airlines).
In the summer of 2005 new brand of air alliance was issued - AiRUnion.
