The Philippines National Flag was adopted on the 16th September of 1997.This Philippines Flag is comprised with two equal sized horizontal bands of colors and a parallel white triangle on the left hand part of the ensign fronting the middle. The red stripe signifies gallantry and the blood shed, while the blue band signifies justice and nationalism and white triangle denotes equality. In the central part of the triangle a large golden yellow sun is encircled by three five pointed golden yellow star placed in each nook of the triangle. The three stars in Philipines Flag picture symbolize the regions of Philippines as Visayas, Luzon and Mindanao. The sun represents freedom and its eight beams personify the eight states of Philippine rebelling against Spanish ruling.
