Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Transport Company RUSSIA is RussiaÌs largest state-owned air company, and the leading air carrier in the North-Western Region of the RF.
The company was established according to the RF PresidentÌs Decree No. 1119 of August 24, 2004 by affiliating Pulkovo Airlines to STC Russia (Moscow). The new air company FSUE STC Russia was registered in St. Petersburg on October 9, 2006.
The air company is the countryÌs only one to have two base airports, Pulkovo in St. Petersburg and Vnukovo in Moscow.
Combining high class and professionalism, flight regularity and ample experience in commercial service, RUSSIA retains the experience gained by both carriers over many decades.
By its passenger traffic, RUSSIA is the industryÌs third company, being the second appointed air carrier for Russian Federation on international air lines. In 2007 RUSSIA carried a total of 3,244,585 passengers in its own aircraft fleet.
Since June 2000, the company has been a full member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which indicates its high level on the international air service market. Since December 31, 2001 the company has been a registered effective member of the international community of the Multilateral Interline Traffic Agreement (MITA). Russia cooperates under various commercial agreements with over 100 Russian and international airlines. Active interaction with partner companies enables RUSSIA to take its passengers virtually anywhere in the world.
Today, the company offers flights to over 100 cities of the world and has 50 offices in RF and countries in and outside of the former Soviet Union.

The aviation engineering facilities of RUSSIA fully complies with todayÌs world standards. The companyÌs engineers can perform any maintenance for aircraft, which guarantees excellent working order of the aircraft and ensures a high safety level of the flights.
In March 2005, by the results of the certification audit of the quality management system for compliance with international standard requirements, the company was among the first Russian air carriers to get an ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate, and confirmed it in December 2006.
The companyÌs personnel numbers about 6,700. Professionalism of RUSSIAÌs flight personnel is proved by the fact that most of the companyÌs pilots have categories of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for flights under inclement weather conditions, and various admissions to international route flights.
Today, the RUSSIA air company is a strong professional team, new technologies, and continuous eagerness of the personnel to make traveling on its liners as safe and pleasant as possible.
As before, the priority tasks of the company are flight safety, high passenger service level, perfect state of the aircraft fleet, and expansion of the air service network.
