SkyEurope Airlines flew its first passenger on 13 February 2002 and since that time has become one of the most popular low cost airlines in Central Europe, carrying over 3.7 million passengers each year. With its headquarters and technical base in Bratislava (Slovakia), SkyEurope Airlines also has bases in Vienna (Austria), Prague (Czech republic) and Koˆice (Slovakia).

By operating exclusively 15 brand new Boeing 737-700 Next Generation aircrafts with an average age of 14 months SkyEurope Airlines ensures high comfort, low noise, maximizes efficiency and minimizes environmental impact. SkyEurope Airlines is the first and only publicly listed low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe quoted on the Stock Exchanges in Vienna and Warsaw. Trading on both stock exchanges commenced on 27 September 2005.
