In the midpoint of this National flag of South Korea there a blue and red yin yang sign depicted, which is encircled by four black ÏtrigramsÓ, one in each angle of the flag. White has a traditional connection with the people of Korea. The symbol in the middle of the South Korea flag represents the dual personnel of ÏyinÓ (blue) and ÏyangÓ (red). ÏYinÓ and ÏyangÓ are poised opposite each other and sustain a balanced survival by harmonizing contraries like positive as well negative, female and male, day and night. ÏYinÓ denotes the inactive or stagnant form while yang signifies energetic or active mode. The ÏtrigramsÓ symbolize the component like earth, metal, wood, fire and water.
