Sweden Flag flagsoftheworld
The Sweden Flag is one of the national symbols of Sweden . The flag of Sweden was officially adopted on June 22, 1906, but the design of this flag is hundreds of years old and probably dates from 1521. The background of the flag of Sweden is blue in color and has a yellow Scandinavian cross that expands to the edges of the flag. This off-centered yellow Scandinavian cross is taken from the Danish flag. The design and blue, yellow colors of the flag of Sweden have been inspired by the present national Coat of arms of Sweden of 1442.
