Within the years of its activity the airline has won a considerable authority both on domestic and foreign transportation services market which is repeatedly proved by a number of Russian and international awards received by the airline. For six years in a row Ural Airlines has been a Wings of Russia National Aviation Industry Contest nominee . According to the Contest results in 2001, Ural Airlines became the winner in the following categories: ¥The progress-making company of the year™ and ¥The airline of the year Ò a passenger carrier on domestic routes™; according to the results of 2002 contest it became a laureate in the category of ¥The passenger carrier on international routes™ and the winner in the category of ¥The passenger carrier on domestic routes™. In 2002, the airline became the winner of the High Social Efficiency Organization Russian Contest (On-site Social-Educational Activities Organization category). The airline is a repeated participant and winner of the Business Leader Regional Contest.

Ural Airlines is among 6 leading Russian airlines in terms of the passenger carriage rate. Yearly, the airline carries over 800 thousand passengers and over six thousand tons of cargo and mail.

The airline's flight network enlarges every year and now it includes over 100 destinations :

flights are operated to over 30 destinations within Russia ;
8 destinations within the CIS states;
scheduled international flights are operated to Prague, Paris, Dubai, and Munich;
as a result of the airline's cooperation with Ekaterinburg travel companies it operates charter flights to Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Spain, Tunisia, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, China all the year round from Ekaterinburg and Moscow airports as well as from other cities.
Ural Airlines Personnel
The basic constituent of air carriage safety ensuring and providing high quality services is the Ural Airlines personnel. The airline employees aim at acquiring professional conduct standards adopted in the leading world airlines. We entrust the control columns of our passenger aircraft solely to first-class pilots. All of them are experienced, skilled pilots who constantly upgrade their level of proficiency. At its own expense the airline arranges and regularly carries out ground training cycles in leading Russian training facilities centers. Special attention is paid to psychological training of personnel working directly with passengers and enhancing their client-oriented skills. For the purposes of professional qualities and efficiency evaluation a Star Motivation System was introduced in the Flight Attendants' Department. Silver and gold stars adorning flight attendants' uniforms attest for the high esteem of their work. The department constantly undergoes various training programs and proficiency upgrading courses. Ural Airlines maintenance base is one of the most modern and efficient in Russian civil aviation. Its technical facilities and engineering expertise enable the airline to perform a complete set of overhaul and maintenance activities for all Russian aircraft types. Up-to-date programs of personnel recruiting and training, corporate marketing and business culture successfully create an attractive and friendly image of our services.

International Partnership
The prestige enjoyed by Ural Airlines internationally is attested by a number of effective interline agreements with a number of leading world airlines which enable the airline to enlarge at the most its flight network. Since the year of 2000 such agreements have been concluded with Czech Airlines, Emirates (UAE) and a unilateral agreement with British Airways. Within the year of 2003 the company signed agreements with Swiss Airlines, Malev (Hungarian Airlines), Air Seychelles , Alitalia ( Italy ), Qatar Airways, THAI ( Thailand ), Vietnam Airlines, Aegean Airlines ( Greece ); a bilateral agreement with British Airways and a unilateral agreement with Air France . In 2004 the airline signed agreements with Turkish Airlines, Finnair + 3 airlines. All in all, up to date the airline has concluded 49 agreements of interline partnership. In 2003, Ural Airlines became a MITA participant (Multilateral Interline Agreement) and in September 2003 it became an I øìø Clearing House (ICH) member . The Clearing House membership is the evidence of the acknowledgement of the high airline status on the domestic and foreign market. Thus, we became a full-fledged user of the international clearing system and now we are able to meet virtually any need of our customers related to the flight geography.

Special Programs
The airline is successfully implementing a number of programs aimed at wide public. Among them is a program of aid to socially exposed groups of population . Yearly, over 50,000 passengers use discounts both government-imposed and introduced by the airline itself, among them are the following citizen categories: children, undergraduates, young people, pensioners, multiple-child mothers. Under the agreement with the Defense Ministry there is an effective program of providing all military carriages in the Ural Region. A similar co-operation program is in progress with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Frontier Service of the Russian Federation. Aircraft Fleet
The airline owns various types of aircraft, including IL 86, TU 154M, TU 154B, AN 24. Ural Airlines is active in modernization and updating its fleet of 22 aircraft . Within the years of 2002 and 2003 the company purchased two new Tupolev 154M airplanes, which fully comply with the European Union's noise and performance standards. Within 10 years of its activity the airline purchased four new aircraft . In 2006 the Ural Airlines has started to fill up its aircraft fleet with foreign made airplanes A320 on conditions of leasing. The intensive aircraft fleet modification is mainly concerned with onboard navigation facilities and avionics. The airline has completed the radio positioning system installation program .
