Virgin Nigeria Airways

About VNA

Virgin Nigeria is Nigeria's private sector flag carrier, 51% owned by Nigerian institutional investors and 49% owned by Virgin Atlantic. The airline was formed in September 2004 when the Federal Government of Nigeria announced the selection of Virgin Atlantic Airways as the strategic investor and technical partner in this exciting project.

From our base at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Virgin Nigeria will develop a global network of domestic, regional and international routes from its home base in Lagos. It will progressively serve routes domestically within Nigeria, regionally within West and central Africa, and inter-continentally to Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. Virgin Nigeria will provide the Nigerian and West African market with the commitment and vision to deliver sustained performance, service and growth.

Our aim is to create the best airline, not just in Nigeria but the best in Africa.

Our launch flight from Lagos to London Heathrow took place on 28 June 2005.

We look forward to welcoming you on board.
