Vladivostok News
The Vladivostok News is the Russian Far East’s first English-language newspaper. The paper was launched in April 1992 by Vladivostok Novosti, which publishes the Russian-language Vladivostok newspaper - the city's largest circulation daily.

Since spring 1995 The Vladivostok News has been available on the World Wide Web – initially through Tribnet, the web site of The News Tribune in Tacoma, Washington. The two newspapers have been co-operating informally since 1993 when editors met through a Russian-American exchange program.

Since July 1996, the Vladivostok News has been on-line both in Tacoma and via its own web server in Vladivostok.

The Vladivostok News is produced by a small team of Russians in Vladivostok, which makes it heavily dependent on translations from local Russian-language news media. An English language native speaker helps us edit copy.
