Zaire Flag flagsoftheworld
The flag of Congo Kinshasa has been changing quite often. The exact shade of blue in the first independent flag was never specified and so many variations in color have existed. In 1960, the Belgian Congo became independent and the six gold stars of Congo Kinshasa flag represent the six provinces of the new state. A new flag had been adopted in 1963 which was in use till 1971. The current shade of blue used in the Congo Kinshasa flag has been defined by the Pantone scale, which is darker than the previous one. Although, the lighter shade of blue can be seen even in official events.
