Notice is hereby given that the Directors of Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc at a Board Meeting held on Wednesday, 20th February 2008 approved payment of an interim dividend of US$0.008 per ordinary share. In compliance with the requirements of the Securities Act Cap 354 of the Laws of Zambia and the Listing Rules of the Lusaka Stock Exchange, the dividend shall be payable to the shareholders registered in the share register of the company at the close of business on Friday 7th March 2008. The said dividend will be payable in Kwacha using the Bank of Zambia mid rate applicable on the close of the register.

Dividend payment will be effected on or before 18th April 2008.

The transfer books will be closed from Friday, 7th March 2008 to Thursday 20th March 2008.
