Zimbabwe Flag flagsoftheworld
The Zimbabwe Flag is a multicolored one which consists of seven horizontal stripes of four main colors red, yellow, green and black. A white triangle is present on the hoist side of the flag which has a five pointed star within which the Great Zimbabwe bird is present. The proportion of the Zimbabwean flag is 2:3. The red stripes represent bloodshed for freedom and the black strip at the center of the national flag of Zimbabwe stands for the African people. The Great Zimbabwe bird which is national symbol signifies socialism. The white triangle on the flag of Zimbabwe stands for peace. The current flag was effective from the year 1980.
